Philosophy

Nature is the source of life. Through close observation of nature and with as little intervention as necessary, the potential in the wine should be maintained, which it gets form the location and the terroir.

Bernhard Ecker: I was born in 1977 and I visited the elementary school from 1984 until 1988. From 1988 until 1992 I went to the secondary school and from 1992 until 1996 to the wine school. In 1997 I completed the military service. This was followed by several internships in Austria and in the year 2000 a practical course in South Africa. Since 2004 I am the chairman of the Wagramer selection (www.wagramerselektion.at), the second oldest winery Association of Austria. In the same year I also completed the master's exam, and since 2005 I manage our family winery "Ecker-Eckhof".

Education should never end!

Respect one another and do what is necessary to earn it.

Nature is the source of all life. Through close observation of nature and with as little intervention as necessary, the potential in the wine should be maintained, which it gets from the location and the terroir.

Hope is an important feature of our life. Never give it up.

Agriculture is the foundation of my work and success.

Reality will never lose its sight!

Development: I have to constantly develop to connect to my success.

Energy makes me get up every morning to realize my livelihood.

Charisma: It does not work without it, neither with the people nor with the wine!

Knowledge and passion are the basic requirements for me to make good wine.

Expert in the field of Grüner Veltliner and its expansion!

Rarity = Roter Veltliner: The autochthonous grape Roter Veltliner that was almost gone from the scene, promises high in extract, full bodied and spicy wines. It will be expanded in two variants.
