We began this year’s harvest at the Eckhof on Tuesday, September 8th.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 22nd, we will bring in the final grapes.

We have just come through two truly intense weeks. There were many long days, countless hours spent in the vineyard and the cellar, and plenty of hard work—interspersed with moments when our energy began to wane. Harvest time is simply special; it is beautiful, yet it demands a great deal from us.

This year was particularly challenging. Unfortunately, we are looking at a yield that is down by about a third. That is, of course, a painful loss—one that has significant economic implications for us.

All the more reason, then, to be delighted by the truly excellent quality of the grapes. We are grateful for this, as it is ultimately the decisive factor for the wine that will be produced from them.

We are looking forward to bringing in the last of the grapes tomorrow. After that, it will be time to catch our breath, unwind a little, and tend to the 2026 vintage as it develops in the cellar.

A big thank you to everyone who supported us and pitched in so diligently over the past two weeks. We couldn't have managed this period without you!

Now, we are excited to see what this vintage will ultimately offer in the glass.
